PROSPECTIVE MEMBERSHIP

 

We welcome all prospective members and are excited for the time when you will join Spartan Nation!

 

Current 8th Graders in the Granite Falls & Hudson Middle School Bands, will become elgible to join upon successful completion of your 8th grade year.

 

The Spartan Band has boaste membership exceeding 221 student musicians we are excited to welcome you to the program! 

 

QUICK FACTS

• There is NO audition required to join the HS band.  Successful completion of your 8th grade band year meets that criteria.

• All HS band students wishing to receive honors credit must meet criteria set forth through an audition.  HS auditions occur in October and MS auditions (8th graders only) are in January to align with District Band preparation.

• Marching Band is an option at SCHS, not a requirement.  Our marching band is extremely active during the fall and requires a serious commitment from its members.  If you like to travel, compete, and work as a team, marching band will be a great fit for you.

• At SCHS marching band rehearsals are during the school day and on Thursday afternoons.  For 2024 we will be working with any fall sports athletes that want to March!
